David D. Basile

After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh and the Police Academy in 1997, Commander Basile served as a Police Officer in several departments in Washington and Fayette Counties before he joined the University of Pittsburgh Police in 2002.  David has worked in several areas of the department including patrol, investigations and the Special Emergency Response Team where he was an Officer, Sergeant, and Lieutenant.  David is currently the Commander in Investigations.  He was also an instructor in several disciplines including training Staff and Faculty at the University in Active Killer Response.
