Andrew S. Redman

Originally from the Pittsburgh area, he attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.  In 2004, after earning a bachelor of arts in criminal justice (Magna Cum Laude), Commander Redman began his law enforcement career with the Warren County (VA) Sheriff’s Office, in Front Royal, VA, as a deputy sheriff assigned to corrections.   After graduating from the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy in 2005, he served as police officer for the Town of Front Royal Police Department. 

In 2007, Commander Redman relocated back to the Pittsburgh area and started his career at the University of Pittsburgh Police Department.  He has served as a police officer, sergeant, and lieutenant; as well as an instructor in multiple disciplines and member of the Special Emergency Response Team.
